佛印答曰“是佛”。佛印照葫芦画瓢地反问，苏东坡却回答“是粪”。回家后，洋洋得意的苏东坡被苏小妹泼了一瓢冷水，“本心是佛，看人是佛，看人是粪，本心是……”
